I've been travelling all my life, and I'm fascinated by the similarities and differences of the worlds I know. 

 

The differences are often less imaginary than may appear. But then again, so are the similarities...

 

As Lady Gaga says, life is art. But maybe life ain't always as fancy as she is.

 

I explore the things I'm busy with under four headings: essays, notes, books and news. Sometimes they overlap.
